Marriage, not unions

Civil unions used to be seen as a viable alternative to marriage equality (because equality didn't seem within reach). But support for civil unions is dropping. We see every reason to go for real thing.

There have been a series of strikes by fast food employees. That has hit cities such as New York, Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit (a big one), and Milwaukee. Biggest complaint: Most of these places pay minimum wage which is half of a livable wage (if you're lucky enough to work full time). And doesn't come with any kind of benefits.
