Young people are going to have to vote in record numbers in order to put this madness to an end.
To which Shannon
replied:
In the last couple years these tweets have gone from good-naturedly encouraging deeper engagement with politics to straight up abdicating all responsibility for the Senate to do its job and put the burden back on the relatively powerless people.
And Sarah Kendzior added:
Yes. This "The children will save us!" racket from grown elected officials is irresponsible and cowardly. It's *their job* to protect children, not the other way around. They're putting the burden on a generation born on a dying planet who now may be forced to fight WWIII.
