Sport does not discriminate

The International Olympic Committee bans political statements or demonstrations during the Games. But what if the words were lifted directly from the Olympic Charter? Organizations All Out and Athlete Ally partnered with American Apparel to make clothing with "Principle 6" and the words "Sport does not discriminate on the grounds of race, religion, politics, gender or otherwise." Yeah, the original first word was something like "Olympic," but the IOC is really aggressive about unauthorized use of the word.

Russia's Constitutional Court, the highest in the country says the anti- gay propaganda law is just fine with them. They spout the same blather about protecting children.

New York Comptroller Tom DiNapoli and New York City Comptroller John Liu represent a coalition of investors. They sent a letter to all of the corporate sponsors of the Olympic Games, calling on the corporations to use their clout to "ensure the human rights of Russian citizens, as well as athletes and visitors to the Olympics." Their reasoning is simple. Being perceived as anti-gay hurts your corporate brand and thus our investment.
