A bite in the cushy parts

Action is finally being taken against Montgomery County in Pennsylvania, which as been issuing marriage licenses to gay couples. Strangely, the suit is coming from the Pennsylvania Health Dept. The governor is finally acting -- in a way to keep his fingers clean. But does the Health Dept. have lawyers up to the task? There is also word that the governor's general counsel will defend the law.

Timothy Kincaid of Box Turtle Bulletin wrote:
I’ll be watching to see how the case is played out. If [Gov.] Corbett’s office tries to go the “tradition, bedrock of society, them there pedophiles, protect marriage, think of the children” route, it’s likely to bite him – and his party – in the cushy parts. And if his office gives some vague watered down response, it will be an indication that the Republican Party in Pennsylvania has decided to concede the point and move on.
