The current gay capital

The Gay Games have opened in Cologne! This is a gathering of gay athletes from around the world for competition and ceremony. This time 10,000 athletes are taking part from 70 countries. I hadn't known chess was considered a sport. I am interested because I lived in Cologne for two years -- back at a time when I did not dare see what kind of gay life there was in the city. I didn't realize the city was so gay. I may have to check out the same-sex pairs figure skating. Follow the link for videos of a bit of the opening ceremony (broadcast TV it's not).
